Blanco Kitchen Remodeling: The Long Beach Owner’s Guide
Blanco kitchen remodeling in Long Beach typically runs $14,000 to $45,000, depending on the scope of work, the Blanco components you’re keeping, and what needs replacing around them. We stock and install Blanco-compatible parts including sink installation hardware, faucet deck plates, and the mounting systems that tie a Blanco sink or faucet into a remodeled countertop. Most Long Beach homeowners discover they need this page when a Blanco sink rim has separated from the counter, a faucet base is leaking under the deck, or a remodel is planned and the existing Blanco undermount needs to be reset correctly against new stone.

That last one matters more than people expect. A Blanco sink that was fine for ten years can start dripping into the cabinet below once a new countertop goes in, because the rim seal wasn’t re-done the way Blanco specifies. We see it regularly in Long Beach kitchens, especially in Belmont Shore and Naples homes where original Blanco undermounts are being pulled during a full remodel.

Which Blanco Models This Applies To

Blanco makes its kitchen products across several series lines, and the parts are not always interchangeable the way homeowners assume. The main families you’ll encounter in Long Beach homes are the Blanco Precision series (16-gauge stainless, undermount, the most common in Southern California remodels), the Blanco Diamond series (18-gauge with a tighter drain bend), and the Blanco Silgranit composite line, which uses a completely different mounting clip system than the stainless models.
Here’s the compatibility gotcha we run into constantly: a Blanco Silgranit sink cannot use the mounting clips from a stainless Precision sink, even if both are 33-inch double-bowl undermounts. The clip pitch and the rim profile are different. If you order clips by “Blanco undermount clips” without checking the series, you’ll get the wrong part about half the time.
To identify what you have, look under the sink basin. Blanco stamps the model number on the underside of the rim, near the drain outlet. It’ll start with “BS” for Silgranit or a number like “516” for Precision stainless. Write that down before you call us or anyone else.
On the OEM versus aftermarket question: for Blanco sink strainers and basket assemblies, a quality aftermarket part from a known plumbing brand will usually do the job and save $30 to $60. But for mounting clips, rim seals, and anything that touches the countertop cutout, we use OEM Blanco parts. The tolerances on the rim seal are tight enough that a generic gasket fails in a year or two. We’d rather install it once.

Signs Your Blanco Kitchen Remodeling Is Failing
- Water staining inside the sink cabinet, directly under the rim. This almost always means the original rim seal has dried out and hairline-cracked. In Long Beach’s coastal air, the sealant breaks down faster than it does inland because of constant humidity swings. The water is coming around the undermount lip, not through the drain.
- Faucet base rocking or spinning at the deck. The mounting nut under the counter has loosened, or the deck plate was installed without the Blanco-specific gasket. Tightening it from above without a second person below rarely works long-term because the nut has already walked up the shank.
- Black specks in the water, only from the kitchen tap. On older Blanco pull-down faucets, the internal braided supply hose breaks down and sheds rubber fragments. This is not a water-quality problem, it’s a hose-and-cartridge replacement inside the faucet body.
- Drain basket that won’t seal even after you replace the strainer. Blanco sinks have a machined drain seat that corrodes in coastal salt air, especially on stainless models near open windows. The basket threads may look fine, but the seat is pitted enough that no gasket will hold. The fix is a seat resurfacing or a new sink, not another strainer.
- Discoloration or spider cracks around the drain opening on Silgranit. This means the sink has taken a thermal hit, usually a boiling pot dumped directly into the drain area without running cold water. Silgranit handles temperature well, but repeated shock will crack it. Once the cracks reach the drain bore, replacement is the only real option.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included
For a Blanco parts replacement done as part of a kitchen remodel in Long Beach, the installed costs break down like this:
- Blanco faucet or sprayer part replacement: $180 to $650, including the part, removal, and reseating at the deck.
- Blanco undermount rim seal repair (cabinet access required): $250 to $700, including solvent cleaning, new OEM seal, and re-clipping to the countertop.
- Blanco sink replacement with installation during a full remodel: $850 to $2,800 depending on Silgranit vs. stainless, single vs. double bowl.
- Full kitchen remodel with Blanco components (sink, faucet, cabinet, countertop, backsplash): $14,000 to $45,000 in Long Beach.
The full-remodel range is broad because a galley kitchen in a Naples condo sits at a different tier than a full open-plan kitchen in Bixby Knolls. What stays constant: the written price you get before the first tool comes off the truck, and the 365-Day Done Right Promise on everything we install. If a Blanco rim seal we set fails within a year, we come back and make it right.

We install named-brand materials you can research: cabinets from KraftMaid and Wellborn, countertops from Cambria and Silestone, fixtures from Kohler, Moen, and Grohe alongside Blanco. Their warranties travel with the finished kitchen.
DIY or Call Us?
Some Blanco work is safe to do yourself. Swapping a pull-down spray head is a threaded connection you can do in five minutes. Replacing a drain basket, if the seat is clean, is also a reasonable DIY project with a good basket wrench and plumber’s putty.
What we’d caution against: resetting an undermount rim seal without experience. You’re working from inside the cabinet, holding a sink that weighs 25 to 50 pounds against the underside of a countertop, while solvent-cleaning the old sealant and placing new clips. If the sink drops while you’re underneath it, that’s a broken finger at minimum. We’ve also seen homeowners overtighten mounting clips and crack the Blanco rim, at which point the sink is scrap. FAQs

In Long Beach’s coastal humidity, a factory-installed Blanco rim seal typically lasts 8 to 12 years before it dries and begins micro-cracking. If the sink was installed by a remodeler who used a generic silicone instead of the OEM gasket, that number can drop to 3 to 5 years. Call (562) 512-7086 and we’ll take a look before it becomes a cabinet replacement.
No. Silgranit is an engineered composite, not a material you can weld or patch and trust under a full sink of water and dish detergent. Once a crack reaches the drain bore or the rim, the sink is done. We’ll help you pick a replacement and set it correctly against the new counter. Call (562) 512-7086 for a written price.
A deck-mounted Blanco faucet replacement takes one to two hours, including shutting off the supply lines, removing the old mounting nut, seating the new gasket, and testing for leaks. If we’re also doing a rim seal on the sink below it, plan for half a day. Call (562) 512-7086 to schedule a free estimate.
We carry the most common Blanco mounting clips, rim seals, and sprayer heads on our trucks, and we can get any series-specific part from our local suppliers in Long Beach within one business day. If you have the model number stamped under your sink rim, have it ready when you call (562) 512-7086.
